We are building a next-generation AI hiring platform designed to transform how companies screen, assess, and select talent. As we scale, we are seeking a visionary leader from the recruitment industry to join our board as Director of Recruitment Innovation—a founding appointment that will shape both our product and our market positioning.

Role Overview

The Director of Recruitment Innovation will act as both strategist and ambassador. This is not a salaried role; instead, it is an equity-based appointment for an industry leader who can bring credibility, expertise, and visibility to our platform. You will provide input into product direction, help validate our solutions against real industry needs, and act as a face of the company within the recruitment community.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic input into the platform’s roadmap, ensuring alignment with recruitment industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for the company on social media, at industry events, and in thought leadership channels.
  • Leverage personal network to introduce pilot clients, strategic partners, and early adopters.
  • Support growth milestones such as pilot closures, strategic integrations, and fundraising introductions.
  • Participate in quarterly board meetings and ad-hoc working sessions (~20 hrs/month).
  • Collaborate with the founders to refine go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in recruitment, staffing, HR tech, or talent acquisition leadership.
  • Recognized industry presence—social influence, speaking engagements, or strong professional network.
  • Deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in modern recruitment.
  • Previous experience advising or scaling early-stage technology businesses (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the company credibly to peers, clients, and media.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with equity-based compensation tied to long-term value creation.

Compensation & Terms

  • Equity-based appointment (Tier 1 Working Director: 4% base equity + 2% milestone upside).
  • 4-year vesting with 1-year cliff; upside equity vests on milestone achievement.
  • Seat on the company’s 7-member board.
